The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet on Monday (22.07.2024) approved extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Secretary/Additional Secretary.
They are;
- Rajiv Jalota (IAS:1988:MH), currently Chairperson of Mumbai Port Trust, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post from the level of Joint Secretary to Secretary until September 30, 2024.
- Manoj Sahay (IA&AS:94), currently Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, for a term up to August 9, 2025.
- Bhuvnesh Kumar (IAS:1995:UP), currently Joint Secretary, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, for a term up to August 9, 2025.
- Puneet Kansal (IAS:1996:SK), currently Joint Secretary, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post to the level of Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, for a term up to August 9, 2025.
- Nitishwar Kumar (IAS:1996:UP), presently Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Women and Child Development for term up to September 30, 2025.
- Nitesh Kumar Vyas (IAS:1996:MP), currently Deputy Election Commissioner, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary in the Election Commission of India, for a term up to August 9, 2025.
- Minhaj Alam (IAS:1996:KL), currently Joint Secretary, has received an extension in the upgradation of his post from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, for a term up to March 31, 2025.
