ACC approves appointments, repatriation of 16 Joint Secretary level officers

In a major administrative rejig on Saturday (13.08.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointments and premature repatriation of 16 Joint Secretary level officers.

They are ;

  1. Ashish Kumar Srivastava (IFoS:1997:TN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a combined tenure of seven years up to 08.03.2024 vice Prasanta K Swain (IPoS:1987).
  2. Dharmendra Kumar Singh (IA&AS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 20.02.2025 vice Ms. Nazli Jafri Shayin (IA&AS:1999).
  3. Manish Tripathi (IDAS:1998) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence, for a tenure of five years. He will replace Vishal Gagan (IAS:1998:OR).
  4. Amitabh Ranjan Sinha (IP&TA&FS:1998) has been appointed as Additional FA & Joint Secretary, Ministry of Defence (Finance), Department of Defence, for a tenure of five years. He will replace Rabindra Kumar Karna (IDAS:1991).
  5. Ms. Nameeta Prasad (IA&AS:1999) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for a tenure of five years in place of Ms. Manju Pandey (IPoS:1989).
  6. Ved Prakash, (IRSE:1988) (Civil), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
  7. Prithul Kumar (IRTS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, for a period of five years. He will replace Ms. Anju Nigam (IPoS:1988).
  8. Vipul Goel (IRSSE:1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, for a tenure of five years. He will replace Ms. Alka Nangia Arora (IDAS:1991).
  9. Ms. Mamta Varma (IIS:1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj for a tenure of five years. She will replace Khushwant Singh Sethi (IFoS:1990:TR).
  10. Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS:1997:AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, for a tenure of five years in place of Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi (IAS:1989:BH).
  11. Ms. Rajul Bhatt (IPoS:2000) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, for an overall tenure of seven years up to 07.05.2024. She will replace Asheesh Sharma (IAS:1997:MH).
  12. Debtoru Chatterjee (IPoS:1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Controller, NTRO, for a tenure of five years. She will replace Ms. Anuradha Joshi Durgapal (IP&TA&FS:1989).
  13. Ms. Prachi Pandey (IA&AS:2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, for a tenure of five years. She will replace Maneesh Garg (IAS:1996:HP).
  14. Ms. Archana Sharma Awasthi (IRS-IT:1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, for a tenure of five years. She will replace Ramchandra Meena (IRS-IT:1992).
  15. T Roumuan Paite (IRS-IT:1996) has been appointed as CMD, National Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation
    (NSTFDC) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for a tenure of five years. She will replace Asit Gopal (IFoS:1990:MP).
  16. Dodda Venkata Swamy (IAS:2001:OR) has been appointed as Chairman, Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA), Kochi, under the Department of Commerce, for a combined tenure of five years up to 17.03.2024. She will replace Shasidhar K Srinivas (IAS:1997:KL).
