ACC approved upgradation of seven JS posts, one AS post downgraded

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the extension in the up-gradation of six posts of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary for a specified period. While one post was upgraded from Joint Secretary to Special Secretary and one post was downgraded from Additional Secretary to Joint Secretary level.

1. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary in Ministry of AYUSH to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India, presently held by Pramod Kumar Pathak (IFoS:1986:KL) for term up to 30.06.2023.
2. Extension in downgradation of the post of Additional Secretary to the level of Joint Secretary in the Direct Benefit Transfer Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, presently held by Saurabh KumarTiwari (IP&TA&FS:1993) for term up to 10.12.2023.
3. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Justice, Ministry of Law & Justice, presently held by Rajinder Kumar Kashyap (IPoS:1989) for term up to 31.12.2023.
4. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Ministry of Steel, presently held by Ms. Ruchika Chaudhry (IRS-IT:1990) for term up to 25.03.2024.
5. Extension in upgradation of the post of Director General, Sports Authority of India, Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary, presently held by Sandip Pradhan (IRS-IT:1990) for term up to 24.03.2024.
6. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Home, presently held by Praveen Vashista (IPS:1991:BH) for term up to 14.01.2024.
7. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, presently held by Suchindra Misra (IDAS:1992) for term up to 09.06.2023.
8. Extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office, presently held by Arvind Shrivastava (IAS:1994:KN) for term up to 24.03.2024.
