From now onwards, all central government officials will have to use Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones. They should leave for office only after the app shows ‘safe’ or ‘low risk’.”
The order, passed by Joint Secretary G Jayanthi, says that if the app shows a message of ‘moderate’ or ‘high risk’, the employees should not leave their house and self-isolate till it becomes ‘safe’ or ‘low risk’. All joint secretaries, ministry departments, autonomous bodies and PSUs have to ensure compliance of the order.
The centre has acknowledged that the Aarogya Setu app has been received well by the states, and it now plans to launch a similar solution for the feature phones too.
