IAS Rahul Kumar appointed Director in Ministry of Minority Affairs

New Delhi: Bihar cadre IAS officer Rahul Kumar (IAS:2011:BH) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Delhi, for five years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (October 16, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for five years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this central posting, Kumar served in Bihar as Managing Director of the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd (NBPDCL). He also held additional charges as Managing Director of the Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd (BSPTCL) and Director of the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA).
