Praveen Kumar Tiwari appointed Director in Ministry of Cooperation

New Delhi: Praveen Kumar Tiwari (IRTS:2011), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Cooperation.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (October 15, 2026), his appointment has been approved for a combined tenure of five years, up to January 29, 2029, combining his ex-cadre deputation and Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) deputation, from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this central deputation, Tiwari had been serving on an ex-cadre assignment as Joint General Manager/Assistant General Manager (Operations & Business Development) at Ahmedabad with the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) since January 2024.
