Madhumita IAS Biography: Madhumita is a 2020-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Odisha cadre. She was recruited through the UPSC Civil Services Examination and joined the IAS on October 12, 2020. Born on August 18, 1995, she belongs to Haryana and has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree along with a Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Madhumita has served in several important administrative positions in Odisha. She began her field career as Sub-Collector, Baliguda, and later served as Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation and Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Ganjam. In July 2025, she was appointed Collector and District Magistrate of Gajapati.

After completing Phase-II training, Madhumita was appointed Sub-Collector, Baliguda, in October 2022, with additional charge as Executive Officer of NAC, Baliguda.
In January 2024, she was moved from the Baliguda posting and appointed Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation.
