New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over Ranipur Chunar Power Transmission Limited, the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for an intra-state transmission project in Uttar Pradesh, to successful bidder H G Infra Engineering Limited.
The SPV was handed over on September 26, 2026, following the selection of H G Infra Engineering through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for development of the project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The project involves construction of 220/132/33 kV AIS substations at Ranipur in Mau and Chunar in Mirzapur, along with a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line from Rasra to Ranipur and other associated works.
The SPV was handed over by Rajesh Raj, Senior General Manager & HoD, RECPDCL, to Ujjval Verma, CGM (Finance), H G Infra Engineering Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, H G Infra Engineering and Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
The project has an implementation schedule of 18 months.
