Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday (September 8, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 27 IAS officers, bringing major changes across key departments and public sector organisations. The reshuffle includes changes involving the School Education, Revenue Administration, Rural Development, Finance, Tourism, Civil Supplies, Agriculture and Handlooms departments, besides several postings as heads of corporations and urban local bodies. The order also includes the appointment of new district collectors in Virudhunagar, Perambalur and Tirupathur.
Among the key changes, Dharmendra Pratap Yadav has been posted as Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, while Dr B. Chandra Mohan has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary/Commissioner, Revenue Administration and Disaster Management. J Innocent Divya has been posted as Secretary, School Education Department, and N Muruganandam has been moved to TANSI as Additional Chief Secretary/Chairman and Managing Director.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- Dharmendra Pratap Yadav (IAS:1996), Principal Secretary / Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSI), has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.
- R Lilly (IAS:2005), Commissioner, Stationery and Printing Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department.
- J Innocent Divya (IAS:2009), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society (CO-OPTEX), Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, School Education Department.
- Dr B Chandra Mohan (IAS:1995), Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner, Revenue Administration and Disaster Management.
- E Saravanavelraj (IAS:2007), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Stationery and Printing.
- Ajay Yadav (IAS:2010), Commissioner, Milk Production and Dairy Development and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
- S Sivarasu (IAS:2011), Director, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, has been transferred and posted as Director, Milk Production and Dairy Development. He shall also function as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited.
- S Sivanandham (IAS:2022), Additional Collector (Development) / Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Salem, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary, Finance Department.
- N Muruganandam (IAS:1991), Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner, Revenue Administration and Disaster Management, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSI) for appointment as its Additional Chief Secretary / Chairman and Managing Director.
- TN Venkatesh (IAS:2001), Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi Department, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (TUFIDCO) for appointment as its Principal Secretary / Managing Director.
- KS Kandasamy (IAS:2009), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO), has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited for appointment as its Managing Director.
- Kavitha Ramu (IAS:2011), Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TUFIDCO), has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation for appointment as its Managing Director.
- Dr K Senthil Raj (IAS:2012), Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare, has been placed at the disposal of Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO) for appointment as its Managing Director. He shall continue to hold the post of Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare in full additional charge, until further orders.
- D Mohan (IAS:2013), Managing Director, Metropolitan Transport Corporation Limited, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Home, Prohibition & Excise Department.
- Shreya P Singh (IAS:2013), Joint Commissioner (Health), Greater Chennai Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, School Education Department.
- Raja Gopal Sunkara (IAS:2015), Joint Secretary, Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism Department. He will also function as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited.
- Dr VP Jeyaseelan (IAS:2014), Director, Tourism and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited, has been placed at the disposal of Metropolitan Transport Corporation Limited, Chennai, for appointment as its Managing Director.
- Sharanya Ari (IAS:2016), District Collector, Perambalur District, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Virudhunagar District.
- F Abdul Razick (IAS), Sub Collector, Ponnneri Division, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Perambalur District.
- V Nallasivan (IAS), Sub Collector, Chengalpattu Division, has been transferred and posted as District Collector, Tirupathur District.
- G Ravikumar (IAS:2017), District Collector, Tirupathur District, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Agriculture-Farmers Welfare Department.
- Selvi K Sangeetha (IAS:2022), Project Director, Special Area Development Programme, Udhagamandalam, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner (State Tax), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore.
- Dr NO Sukhaputra (IAS:2017), District Collector, Virudhunagar District, has been placed at the disposal of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board for appointment as its Executive Director.
- Thakare Shubham Dnyandeorao (IAS:2019), Joint Commissioner (State Tax), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore, has been placed at the disposal of Greater Chennai Corporation for appointment as its Deputy Commissioner (Health).
