New Delhi: IPS officer Parhlad Narayan Meena (IPS:2012:UK) has been appointed as Deputy Director (Intelligence & Coordination) in the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on deputation basis.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday (August 20, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment to the post under the Non-Central Staffing Scheme of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
His tenure will be for five years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Uttarakhand government has been requested to relieve Meena immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.
