REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over Luhri Power Transmission Limited, the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), to successful bidder Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited.
The SPV was handed over on August 21, 2026, following the successful completion of the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for the establishment of the “Transmission System for Evacuation of Power from Sunni Dam HEP and Luhri Stage-I HEP” on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
Rajkumar Sonkar, HoD (CS), RECPDCL, handed over the SPV to Nitin Mahajan, General Manager (Bidding), Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited, in the presence of Ratnesh Kumar, GM (Engineering), RECPDCL, and senior officials from RECPDCL, Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Private Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited.
The transmission project envisages the establishment of a 400/220 kV GIS Nange Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh and a 400 kV Nange Pooling Station–Koldam double-circuit line spanning around 50 km, along with associated works.
The project is scheduled for commissioning by October 15, 2029, in line with the scheduled commissioning of the Sunni Dam Hydroelectric Project (SDHEP) and Luhri Stage-I Hydroelectric Project (LHEP-I). The estimated cost of the project is ₹839.55 crore.
