A Shiyas appointed as Inspector General in Border Security Force

New Delhi: IPS officer A Shiyas (IPS:2008:MP) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF).

According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday (August 17, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment on usual terms and conditions of central deputation.

Prior to this central deputation, Shiyas was serving as Inspector General, Cyber Police Headquarters, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
