DoPT Additional Secretary Manoj Kumar Dwivedi repatriated to parent cadre

IAS officer Manoj Kumar Dwivedi has been repatriated to the AGMUT cadre, nearly one year before completion of his tenure in DoPT.

New Delhi: Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS:1997:AGMUT), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), has been repatriated to his parent AGMUT cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (August 5, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his repatriation to the parent cadre on the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), with the imposition of extended cooling-off.

Dwivedi joined the DoPT in August 2022 after being appointed as Joint Secretary for a five-year tenure.

Following his empanelment as Additional Secretary, he was granted in-situ upgradation to the rank of Additional Secretary in the DoPT in November 2022.

His central deputation was originally scheduled to continue till August 2027. However, with the latest order, he has been repatriated to his parent cadre nearly one year before the completion of his approved tenure.
