New Delhi: Manepalli Sridhar, Executive Director (Human Resources), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), has been recommended for appointment as Director (Human Resources) of the company by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
The recommendation was made during the PESB selection meeting held on Tuesday (July 28, 2026).
His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval. The appointment will be subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
The post of Director (Human Resources) fell vacant on March 19, 2026, after the then incumbent Krishna Kumar Thakur left BHEL to join NMDC Limited as Director (Personnel). Since then, Director (Power) Tajinder Gupta has been holding the additional charge of the post.
A total of 11 candidates appeared before the PESB selection panel. They were:
