New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the ex-post facto proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the temporary upgradation of a post held by Sonia Narang (IPS:2002:KN) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (July 27, 2026), the ACC has approved the temporary upgradation of one post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) (Level-13A in the Pay Matrix) to the level of Inspector General (IG) (Level-14) in the CISF.
The upgradation was effective from September 15, 2025, the date on which Sonia Narang assumed charge of the post, and remained in force up to October 3, 2025. The order said the upgradation was approved as a measure personal to the officer.
