IAS officer Kowsigan A (IAS:2009:KL) has been appointed Director in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Delhi, for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (July 20, 2026), the competent authority has approved his appointment to the post under the central staffing scheme for a period of five years, whichever is earlier.
Kowsigan is currently serving as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala. He will take up the new assignment after being relieved by the state government.
