West Bengal govt transfers 21 IAS officers; Dr Archana moved to Self Help Group Department

Kolkata: The West Bengal government on Wednesday (July 15, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for 21 IAS officers. Among the key changes, Dr Archana has been appointed as Secretary, Self Help Group & Self Employment Department, while Kaushik Bhattacharya has been posted as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM) and Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Dr Archana (IAS:2002:WB), Secretary, Animal Resources Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Self Help Group & Self Employment Department.
2. Kaushik Bhattacharya (IAS:2009:WB), on transfer from Excise Commissioner & Managing Director, West Bengal State Beverages Corporation, has been posted as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM) and Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.
3. Sujay Sarkar (IAS:2010:WB), Commissioner of Textiles & Sericulture with additional charge of Managing Director, Tantuj, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Tantuj, with additional charge of Secretary, MSME&T Department.
4. Nandini Ghosh (IAS:2010:WB), Secretary, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Fisheries Department, with additional charge of Managing Director, BENFISH.
5. Vibhu Goel (IAS:2012:WB), State Project Director, Samagra Siksha Mission, School Education Department, has been transferred and posted as State Project Director, Samagra Siksha Mission, School Education Department, with additional charge of Managing Director, WBHIDCO.
6. Rajarshi Mitra (IAS:2012:WB), Managing Director, WBHIDCO, has been transferred and posted as Mission Director, Jal Jivan Mission and Senior Special Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department.
7. Chaitali Chakrabarti (IAS:2012:WB), Senior Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary, Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department.
8. Utpal Bhadra (IAS:2012:WB), Senior Special Secretary, Fire & Emergency Services Department, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary, Tribal Development Department.
9. Shama Parveen (IAS:2013:WB), Senior Special Secretary, North Bengal Development Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary, GTA, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary, Fire & Emergency Services Department.
10. Hindole Datta (IAS:2014:WB), under orders of transfer as Commissioner, Asansol Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Special Commissioner, Higher Education Department.
11. Smrutiranjan Mohanty (IAS:2015:WB), Special Secretary, Technical Education, Training & Skill Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA).
12. Vaibhav Chaudhary (IAS:2016:WB), Additional District Magistrate, Purba Medinipur, with additional charge of CEO, Project Management Unit, Jagannath Dham Trust, Digha, has been transferred and posted as Director of Land Records & Surveys, West Bengal, Special Secretary, Land & Land Reforms and Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department, and Special Secretary, Cooperation Department (for coordinating special projects with the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India).
13. Prashant Raj Shukla (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Bankura, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, WBMSCL and Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.
14. Ravi Prakash Meena (IAS:2017:WB), Special Secretary, Mass Education Extension and Library Services Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, KMDA.
15. Shekhar Kumar Chaudhary (IAS:2018:WB), ADM, Howrah, has been transferred and posted as ADM, Howrah, with additional charge of Joint Secretary, Land & Land Reforms and Refugee Relief & Rehabilitation Department.
16. Dileep Mishra (IAS:2019:WB), ADM, Hooghly, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Asansol Municipal Corporation.
17. Ankita Agarwal (IAS:2022:WB), SDO, Islampur, Uttar Dinajpur, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman.
18. Madhusree (IAS:2023:WB), SDO, Hooghly Sadar, Hooghly, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Kandi, Murshidabad.
19. Ravi Kumar Meena (IAS:2023:WB), SDO, Alipur Sadar, South 24 Parganas, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Serampore, Hooghly.
20. Rushali Kler (IAS:2023:WB), SDO, Malda Sadar, Malda, has been transferred and posted as SDO, Islampur, Uttar Dinajpur.
