Dr Prabir Kumar Naik has been promoted to the grade of Member (Scientific) in the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (May 28, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his empanelment for promotion to the grade of Member (Scientific), CGWB.
The promotion has been approved in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix, one of the senior-most scientific positions in the organisation.
The Central Ground Water Board, functioning under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, is the apex organisation responsible for groundwater exploration, monitoring, assessment and management in the country.
