In a key development, the Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed two Manipur cadre IPS officers senior positions in central armed police forces on deputation basis.
IPS Officer Rakesh Balwal (IPS:2012:MN) has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The appointment has been approved by the competent authority under the usual terms and conditions of central deputation.
IPS Officer H Thanghaulien Gangte (IPS:2003:MN) has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF) against an existing vacancy.
