The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Bimal Gopalachari for appointment as Managing Director (MD) of Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited (CCIC).
The recommendation was made following the selection meeting held on May 20, 2026. Currently, Gopalachari is serving as Additional General Manager and Head of Business Development at NTPC Green Energy Ltd, NTPC Limited.
His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval, subject to vigilance clearance and completion of other prescribed formalities.
The candidates appeared for the interview were as follows;
