UP transfers 9 senior IPS officers; Jai Narayan Singh appointed DG, EOW

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday (May 21, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for nine senior IPS officers in the state as part of a fresh administrative reshuffle.

Under the latest order, senior IPS officer Jai Narayan Singh has been appointed as Director General (DG), Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Lucknow. Meanwhile, senior IPS officer Binod Kumar Singh has been assigned additional charge as Director General of UP-112, the state’s integrated emergency response service.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Jai Narayan Singh (IPS:1994:UP), DG/ADGP, UP Power Corporation Limited, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as DG, EOW, Lucknow.
2. Dhruv Kant Thakur (IPS:1994:UP), DG, Civil Defence, with additional charge of DG, Special Security Force, has been transferred and posted as DG/Commandant, Home Guard, Lucknow, with additional charge of DG, Civil Defence.
3. Binod Kumar Singh (IPS:1994:UP), DG, CID, Lucknow, with additional charge of DG, Cyber Crime, has been given additional charge of DG, UP-112.
4. Alok Singh (IPS:1995:UP), DG/ADG, Kanpur Zone, Kanpur, has been transferred and posted DG, PAC Hqrs, Lucknow with additional charge of DG, Special Security Force.
5. Anupam Kulshreshtha (IPS:1995:UP), ADG, Agra Zone, Agra, has been transferred and posted as ADG, Kanpur Zone.
6. A Satish Ganesh (IPS:1996:UP), ADG, Traffic & Security, Directorate, Lucknow, has been given additional charge of ADG, Crime, Lucknow.
7. Dr Ramkrishna Swarnkar (IPS:1996:UP), ADG, PAC Hqrs, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as ADG, UP Power Corporation Limited.
8. S K Bhagat (IPS:1998:UP), ADG, Crime, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as ADG, Agra Zone, Agra.
9. Geeta Singh (IPS-SPS:2007:UP), IG, Prosecution, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as IG, Training, Lucknow.
