ACC extends IPS Rajesh Kumar’s tenure as CRPF ADG by one year

The deputation tenure of Rajesh Kumar (IPS:1995:AGMUT) as Additional Director General (ADG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been extended by one year.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (March 20, 2026), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal to extend his deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond March 18, 2026, in relaxation of the IPS tenure policy.

Rajesh Kumar has been serving as ADG in CRPF since April 2024, when he was elevated to the rank from Inspector General (IG) level.
