23 IAS officers transferred in major Bihar administrative reshuffle

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government on Friday (January 9, 2026) transferred and posted 23 IAS officers across districts, municipal bodies and key administrative positions. The reshuffle largely involves officers of the 2019 to 2023 batches and includes postings in municipal corporations, zila parishads and subdivisional administration.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Sameer Saurabh (IAS:2019:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Ltd. (COMFED), Patna.
2. Deepak Kumar Mishra (IAS:2019:BH), Municipal Commissioner, Nalanda, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Bihar, Patna, with additional charge of Additional Director in the Office of the Mission Director, Bihar Development Mission.
3. Abhishek Palasia (IAS:2020:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Khagaria, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Gaya Municipal Corporation.
4. Kumar Nishant Vivek (IAS:2020:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Gopalganj, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Bihar Sharif Municipal Corporation, Nalanda.
5. Shrikant Kundalik Khandekar (IAS:2020:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Nalanda, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Patna.
6. Shubham Kumar (IAS:2021:BH), Municipal Commissioner, Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Nalanda.
7. Shivakshi Dixit (IAS:2021:BH), Municipal Commissioner, Munger Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Bettiah Municipal Corporation, West Champaran.
8. Surya Pratap Singh (IAS:2021:BH), Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Kaimur (Bhabua), has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Samastipur.
9. Lakshman Tiwari (IAS:2021:BH), Municipal Commissioner, Bettiah Municipal Corporation, West Champaran, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Saran (Chhapra).
10. Parth Gupta (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Purnia, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Munger Municipal Corporation.
11. Ashish Kumar (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Barh, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Motihari Municipal Corporation, Motihari.
12. Kishalay Kushwaha (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Mahua, Vaishali, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation, Bhagalpur.
13. Gaurav Kumar (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Bagaha, West Champaran, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Gopalganj.
14. Kajale Vaibhav Nitin (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, West Champaran (Bettiah).
15. Divya Shakti (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Danapur, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Kaimur (Bhabua).
16. Shweta Bharti (IAS:2022:BH), awaiting posting, has been posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Khagaria.
17. Gaurav Kumar (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna Sadar, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Saharsa.
18. Rituraj Pratap Singh (IAS:2022:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Naugachia, Bhagalpur, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner, Muzaffarpur Municipal Corporation.
19. Garima Lohiya (IAS:2023:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Paliganj, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Barh, Patna.
20. Aniruddh Pandey (IAS:2023:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Mohania, Kaimur, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Danapur, Patna.
21. Kritika Mishra (IAS:2023:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Gogri, Khagaria, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Patna Sadar.
22. Akanksha Anand (IAS:2023:BH), Sub-Divisional Officer, Areraj, East Champaran, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Officer, Muzaffarpur (West).
