The Odisha government has elevated senior IAS officer Chithra Arumugam (IAS:1995:OR) to the Apex Grade (Level-17 of the Pay Matrix), placing her in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). The General Administration Department issued the promotion order on November 25.
For now, Arumugam will continue with her existing responsibilities. She is currently the Principal Secretary of Labour and ESI, and she also holds the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology. She will remain in these roles until further orders are issued.
