In a key development, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Jasvinder Singh for the post of Director (Strategic Project), Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL). The selection was made following the PESB interview held on November 7, 2025.
Mr. Singh is presently serving as General Manager (Special Duties), Navy. His name will now be forwarded to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for final approval, subject to the requisite vigilance clearances.
If approved, he will succeed Commodore Girideep Singh, who has been heading HSL since February 2022 and is set to retire on January 31, 2026.
A total of 10 candidates were interviewed by the PESB for the post. The list included:

- Commodore Anup Menon, Warship Production Superintendent Kochi, Navy
