Bihar: Five IPS officers transferred

In a minor reshuffle in police administration, the Bihar government on Sunday (October 5, 2025) issued transfer and posting orders involving five IPS officers across the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  1. Pushkar Anand (IPS:2009:BH), SP, Special Branch, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, BSAP, Jamalpur.
  2. Aditya Kumar (IPS:2011:BH), awaiting posting orders, has been posted as SP, ANTF, Prohibition & State Narcotics Control Bureau.
  3. Dr Inam Ul Haq Mengnoo (IPS:2011:BH), SP, Arwal, has been posted SP, Rail.
  4. Amritendu Shekhar Thakur (IPS:2012:BH), SP, Rail, has been transferred and posted as SP, SSC (Constable Recruitment).
  5. Manish Kumar (IPS:2017:BH), SP, SSC (Constable Recruitment), has been transferred and posted as SP, Arwal.
