IAS officer Chandrasekar S (IAS:2014:KL) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Vice President of India, CP Radhakrishnan, in the Vice President’s Secretariat. His appointment will be at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period up to 28 February 2028, which is the balance tenure of his four-year central deputation.
Prior to this, Chandrasekar was serving as Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary level) at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure at LBSNAA has been curtailed following this new assignment.
He will continue as Private Secretary to the Vice President until the completion of his deputation tenure, the end of the Vice President’s term, or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
