The central government has approved the premature repatriation of Anirudh Kumar (IRSME:1995), who was serving as Joint Secretary in the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the Department of Food and Public Distribution. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (August 29, 2025), the competent authority cleared his repatriation to the parent cadre along with the imposition of an extended cooling-off condition.
Kumar was appointed as Joint Secretary in the WDRA in August 2024 for a tenure of five years. However, his return has come much earlier than scheduled, making it a significant development in bureaucratic circles.
