The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday (August 13, 2025) approved the promotion of 20 Uttar Pradesh Provincial Police Service (PPS) officers to the prestigious Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre. The promotions follow the formal clearance of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) held earlier this year.
