Priya Ranjan (IFoS:1998:RJ), Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has received retrospective approval for the extension of his additional charge as Managing Director (MD) of the National Horticulture Board (NHB).

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for ex-post facto extension of Ranjan’s additional charge from 23 March 2025 or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.

Ranjan has been holding the MD (NHB) charge since 19 May 2023, and this marks the fourth extension granted to him in this capacity.
