UP govt continues police reshuffle, 7 districts’ police chiefs among 15 IPS officers transferred

Just a day after transferring 33 IAS officers, the Uttar Pradesh government has carried out yet another significant administrative reshuffle. This time, 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been given new postings as part of a broader reorganization within the state’s law enforcement machinery.

Among the key changes, the police chiefs of seven districts—Jhansi, Mahoba, Banda, Sitapur, Pilibhit, Fatehgarh, and Kanpur Rural—have been replaced.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Sudha Singh (IPS-SPS:2011), DIG/SSP, Jhansi, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Railways, Lucknow.
2. Prabal Pratap Singh (IPS-SPS:2014), DCP, Police Commissionerate, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as SP, Mahoba.
3. Puja Yadav (IPS:2014:UP), Commandant, 24th Battalion PAC, Moradabad, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 45th Battalion PAC, Aligarh.
4. BBGTS Murthy (IPS:2015:UP), SP, Kanpur Rural, has been transferred and posted as SSP, Jhansi.
5. Arvind Mishra (IPS-SPS:2015), SP, UP Power Corporation, has been transferred and posted as SP, Kanpur Rural.
6. Chakresh Mishra (IPS:2015:UP), SP, Sitapur, has been transferred and posted as SP, ANTF, HQ, Lucknow.
7. Amit Kumar-II (IPS-2015:UP), Commandant, 45 Battalion PAC, Aligarh, has been transferred and posted as Commandant 24th Battalion PAC Moradabad.
8. Ankur Agrawal (IPS:2016:UP), SP, Banda, has been transferred and posted as SP, Sitapur.
9. Palash Bansal (IPS:2018:UP), SP, Mahoba, has been transferred and posted as SP, Banda.
10. Alok Priyadarshi (IPS-SPS:2011), DIG/SP, Fatehgarh, has been transferred and posted as Additional DCP, Low & Order, Ghaziabad Commissionerate.
11. Abhishek Yadav (IPS:2012:UP), SP, Railway, Prayagraj, has been transferred and posted as SP, Pilibhit.
12. Prashant Verma (IPS:2014:UP), SP, Railway, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as SP, Railway, Prayagraj.
13. Avinash Pandey (IPS:2015:UP), SP, Pilibhit, has been transferred and posted as Commandant 1st Battalion SSF, Lucknow.
14. Arti Singh (IPS:2017:UP), DCP, Police Commissionerate, Kanpur, has been transferred and posted as SP, Fatehgarh.
15. Rohit Mishra (IPS-SPS), SP, O/o DGP, Lucknow, has been transferred and posted as SP, Railway, Lucknow.
