The central deputation tenure of Himanshu Kumar (ITS:1998) as Joint Secretary (Director level) in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been extended for two years.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (05.03.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Kumar for a period of two years beyond March 6, 2025 and upto March 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Kumar has been serving in his current role since March 2020.
