Deepak Virmani (IAS:2011:AGMUT), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (26.12.2024), the competent authority has approved the proposal to re-designate Virmani’s post to Director level with effect from January 1, 2025, or the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post and for a period upto November 11, 2029 i.e. total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.
It is noteworthy that Deepak Virmani commenced his central deputation tenure on November 5, 2024.
