Senior IPS officer Sonia Singh (IPS:2003:NL) was on Friday (20.12.2024) appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for five years. According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday, the competent authority has approved the appointment of Ms. Singh to the post for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
