Odisha: 3 IAS officers shifted; Bishnupada Sethi posted as OSD in GA&PG

In a significant development, the Odisha government on Tuesday (17.12.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for three IAS officers including senior IAS officers Bishnupada Sethi, who has been served notice by the CBI to appear before it in a bribery case.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Bishnupada Sethi (IAS:1995:OR), previously serving as Principal Secretary of the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, along with additional charges as Principal Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department and Principal Secretary of the ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department.
2. Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra (IAS:1997:OR), repatriated from central deputation, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the ST&SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, with additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary of the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department and Principal Secretary of the Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.
3. Manoj Kumar Sahoo (IAS:2006:AGMUT), upon joining the Odisha government on inter-cadre deputation, has been appointed as Special Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
