Senior IPS officer Ajay Kumar Singh (IPS:1989:JH), currently serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Limited, Ranchi, will hold additional charge of Director General of Police (DGP) on Saturday. Earlier in the day, the Election Commission directed the Jharkhand government to remove acting DGP Anurag Gupta (IPS:1990:JH) and hand over charge to the senior-most DGP officer available in the cadre immediately.
