SC collegium recommends one Advocate, one Judicial Officer for elevation to Gauhati HC

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended to elevate Advocate Shamima Jahan as a Judge of Gauhati High Court. It further recommended the elevation of Judicial Officer Yarenjungla Longkumer as Judge of the Gauhati High Court.

The Collegium comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice BR Gavai approved the recommendation made by the High Court collegium in May last year.
