Punjab: Arpit Shukla promoted to DGP rank

The Punjab government has promoted Arpit Shukla (IPS:1993:PB) to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP) in rank 16 of Pay Matrix with immediate effect. He was serving as Special DGP, Law and Order.

While seven of Mr. Shukla’s batchmates were promoted to the rank of DGP on January 23, his promotion was temporarily delayed due to legal complications.
