ACC approves appointments of 16 officers at Joint Secretary, equivalent levels

In a major administrative rejig on Friday (07.04.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a number of appointments of officers at the Joint Secretary/ Joint Secretary equivalent level posts in various departments.

In a major administrative rejig on Friday (07.04.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a number of appointments of officers at the Joint Secretary/ Joint Secretary equivalent level posts in various departments.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Ms. Sundaram Rukmani (CSS) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a period of five years.
  2. Ms. Yogita Rana (IAS:2003:TG) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a period of five years.
  3. Ms. Chauhan Sarita Chand (IAS:1999:AGMUT) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying for a period of five years. She replaces Upamanyu Basu (IRS-IT:1989).
  4. Ms. Anice Joseph Chandra (IRS-C&IT:1995) has been appointed as MD, National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation Of India Limited (NCCF) under the Department of Consumer Affairs for a period of five years. She will replace Manoj K. Semwal (IRSEE:1992).
  5. Ashish Goyal (llnfoS:1996) has been made Addi DG, National Museum under the Ministry of Culture for a period of five years vice Subrata Nath (IRSME:1991).
  6. Naveen Kumar Shah (IFoS:2000:AGMUT) has been appointed as CMD, National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation (NHFDC) under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for a combined tenure of seven years upto 11.06.2025. He replaces Rajan Sehgal (IFoS:1992:KL).
  7. Ms. Anita Karn (IFoS:1997:GJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a period of five years. She will replace S Jagannathan (IRTS:1989).
  8. Ashutosh Joshi (IA&AS: 1994) has been appointed as ED (Genl), Food Corporation of India (FCI), New Delhi under the Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years in place of RK Aggarwal (IAS:1997:KL).
  9. Rahul Ramesh Nangare (IRS-C&IT:1999) has been appointed as CEPI in the O/o Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), New Delhi under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of five years. He replaces Saurav Ray (IDES:1994).
  10. Praveen Bonigala (IFoS:1995:RJ) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the NATGRID under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a period of five years. He replaces Satwant Atwal Trivedi (IPS:1996:HP).
  11. Pankaj Bodkhe (IRS-IT:2000) has been appointed as Financial Advisor, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Mumbai under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises for a period of five years vice Ms. Ashima Gupta (IRS-IT:1991).
  12. Ms. Abha Rani Singh (IRS-IT:1996) has been appointed as CMD in the National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC) under the Ministry of Minority Affairs for a period upto her superannuation on 31.08.2027. She will replace MC Jauhari (IAS:1987:AM).
  13. Sai Baba Darbamulla (IRSME:1993) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Power for a period of five years vice Ghanshyam Prasad (CPES:1989).
  14. Balamurugan D (IAS:2005:BH) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for a period of five years. He will replace Anil Kumar Agrawal (IPS:1988:UP).
  15. Ms. Vasundhara Upmanyu (IRS-IT:1992) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises for a period upto her superannuation on 31.10.2027 vice Sanjay Kumar Jain (IRTS:1990).
  16. Ms. Amrit Raj (IPoS:1994) has been appointed as Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) under the Ministry of Textiles for a period of five years. She will replace Shantmanu (IAS:1991:AGMUT).
