Haryana: Responsibilities rearranged in bureaucratic reshuffle of 9 IAS/IFS officers

In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Haryana government on Friday (10.03.2023) rearranged IAS officers’ responsibilities to tone up the administration of the state. Some IAS officers have been relieved of responsibilities in some departments, and others have been assigned those responsibilities.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Sanjeev Kaushal (IAS:1986:HY), Chief Secretary, Haryana, General Administration Department, Personnel, Training, Parliamentary Affairs, Vigilance, Administrative Reforms Department and Secretary Incharge of Plan Coordination has been relieved of the charge of Administrative Reforms Departments and assigned with the charge of Human Resources Department.
2. Vineet Garg (IAS:1991:HY), Additional Chief Secretary, Forests & Wildlife Department, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment & Climate Change Department has been relieved of the charge of has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forests & Wildlife Department and relieved of the charge of Climate Change Department.
3. V Umashankar (IAS:1993:HY), Principal Secretary to CM, Principal Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department, Administrative Secretary in charge of CM Window, Principal Secretary, Power Department and Principal Secretary, New & Renewable Energy Department has been relieved of the charges of Power and New & Renewable Energy Departments and given the charge of Energy Department.
4. Anurag Agarwal (IAS:1994:HY), Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana and Principal Secretary, Elections Department, Principal Secretary, Information, Public Relations, Languages Department and Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department has been given the charge of Languages and Culture Department.
5. Vijayendra Kumar (IAS:1995:HY), Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Principal Secretary, Technical Education Department, Chief Executive Officer, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board and Principal Secretary, Sainik & Ardh Sainik Welfare Department has been relieved of the charge of Technical Education Department.
6. Rajeev Ranjan (IAS:1998:HY), Principal Secretary, Social Justice & Environment Department, Principal Secretary, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes Department, Principal Secretary, Fisheries Department and Managing Director, Haryana Minerals Ltd., New Delhi has been the charge of Antyodaya (SEWA), Department as Principal Secretary.
7. M D Sinha (IFS:1989:HY), Principal Secretary, Tourism Department and Principal Secretary, Archaeology & Museums Department has been transferred relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Archaeology & Museums Department and given the charge of Principal Secretary, Heritage Department.
8. Amit Kumar Agrawal (IAS:2003:HY), Additional Principal Secretary, CM, Director General/ Secretary, Information, Public Relations & Languages, Project Director, Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme, Secretary, Grievances Department and Secretary, Art & Cultural Affairs Department has been relieved of the charge of Secretary, Art & Cultural Affairs Department and given the charge of Secretary, Cultural Department.
9. Aditya Dahiya (IAS:2011:HY), Director/ Special Secretary, Medical Education Department, Special Secretary, Human Resources Department, Special Secretary, Monitoring & Coordination Department, Special Secretary, Administrative Reforms Department and Secretary, Central Committee of Examination has been relieved of the charge of Special Secretary, Monitoring & Coordination Department and Special Secretary, Administrative Reforms Department and given the charge of Special Secretary, General Administration Department.
