The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday (23.06.2022) approved the Health Ministry’s proposal for the appointment of several individuals to the post of Executive Director at AIIMS Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Rishikesh, Guwahati, Awantipora and Darbhanga.
The appointment has been made for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post that may further be extended up to five years, or when the incumbent attains the age of 70.
They are ;
- Dr. Ajai Singh, Director, Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (Child PGI) Noida, has been appointed as Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Bhopal.
- Ashutosh Biswas, Director, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, has been appointed as the Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
- Gopal Krushna Pal, Professor of Physiology at Jipmer, has been appointed as the Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Patna.
- Professor Meenu Singh, Head, Department of Pediatrics, PGI Chandigarh, has been appointed as Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Rishikesh.
- Ashok Puranik, Professor & Head, General Surgery, AIIMS, Jodhpur, has been appointed as Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Guwahati.
- Lt Gen Anup Banerji, Former DG, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), has been appointed as Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Awantipora.
- Madhabananda Kar, Professor and Head of Surgical Oncology Department, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, has been appointed as the Executive Director (ED) of the AIIMS, Darbhanga.
