The Appointments Committee of Cabinet on Monday (27.09.2021) approved the appointment of U C Sarangi (IPS:1988:MP) as Special DG in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on lateral shift basis. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a tenure up to his retirement i.e. 31.07.2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is Special DG, Border Security Forces (BSF).
