Gujarat : Major rejig in CMO, four IAS officers replaced

Gujarat bureaucracy has started seeing signs of change with the change in commands. After the swearing in of Bhupendra Patel as new Chief Minister of the state, four IAS officers have been transferred out from Chief Minister’s office (CMO) on Wednesday, and their places are filled by new officers.

Pankaj Joshi (IAS:1989:GJ) will replace Manoj Das (IAS:1990:GJ) as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. To assist Joshi, the government appointed Avantika Singh (IAS:2003:GJ) as the new Secretary to the Chief Minister, replacing Ashwini Kumar (IAS:1997:GJ).

Dr M D Modia (IAS-SCS:2006:GJ), the Collector of Bharuch, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister. K N Shah (IAS:2010:GJ), who previously held this post, has been transferred out. Similarly, the Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, N N Dave (IAS-SCS:2012:GJ), has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister, replacing DH Shah.
