Dr. Ranjit Rath has been selected for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Bharat Coking Coal Ltd. (BCCL) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on June 28, 2021. Presently, he is serving as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL).
