A Senior Bureaucrat in J-K goes on protest leave against ‘humiliation’

A senior IAS and Commissioner/ Secretary-level Officer has proceeded on leave reportedly in protest against “humiliating circumstances”, but the government order has termed it as “earned leave”.

Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS:1997:J&K) posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government Industries & Commerce, applied for leave after a senior officer called him over phone and allegedly used abusive language over some work related issue.

In his leave application, Manoj said he was shocked by the humiliation he was subjected to.

The charge of his departments, including Industries, has been given to Financial Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. Pawan Kotwal (IAS:1994:J&K).
