West Bengal transfers 17 IAS officers; Shakil Ahmed posted as OSD

The West Bengal government on Thursday issued transfer and posting orders for 17 IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle across various departments and districts in the state. In a separate order issued the same day, IAS officer Shakil Ahmed was shifted and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department, awaiting further posting.

The transferred officers include:

1. Sujay Sarkar (IAS:2010:WB), Commissioner of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Textiles & Sericulture with additional charge of Managing Director, Tantuja.
2. Nitin Singhania (IAS:2013:WB), CEO of Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA), has been appointed as Senior Special Secretary, Home & Hill Affairs Department and Member Secretary, Centre of Excellence in Public Management and Course Director, Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre.
3. Dr Rajat Nanda (IAS:2013:WB), Senior Special Secretary in the Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department, Member Secretary, Centre of Excellence in Public Management and Course Director, Satyendranath Tagore Civil Services Study Centre, has been transferred and posted as Senior Special Secretary in the Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department with additional charge of Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and Director (Information), I&CA Department.
4. Hindole Datta (IAS:2014:WB), Associate Professor at Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute, has been posted as Commissioner, Asansol Municipal Corporation.
5. Shaikh Ansar Ahamad (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Malda, has been transferred as ADM, Paschim Medinipur.
6. Dhiman Barai (IAS:2016:WB), ADM, Purba Bardhaman, has been appointed as Special Secretary, TET & SD Department.
7. Prashant Raj Shukla (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, South 24 Parganas, has been posted as ADM, Bankura.
8. Suman Sourav Mohanty (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Uttar Dinajpur, has been transferred as ADM, Paschim Bardhaman.
9. Rajesh (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Dakshin Dinajpur, has been appointed as ADM, Jalpaiguri.
10. Ravi Agarwal (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Purulia, has been posted as Commissioner, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation.
11. Priyadarshini S (IAS:2017:WB), ADM, Howrah, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department.
12. Lakshmana Perumal R (IAS:2018:WB), ADM, Bankura, has been transferred as ADM, Jhargram.
13. Shinjan Shekhar (IAS:2018:WB), ADM, Jalpaiguri, has been posted as ADM, Howrah.
14. Archana Pandharinath Wankhede (IAS:2019:WB), ADM, Nadia, has been transferred as ADM, Purba Medinipur.
15. Manjeet Kumar Yadav (IAS:2020:WB), ADM, Bankura, has been appointed as ADM, South 24 Parganas.
16. Saurav Pandey (IAS:2020:WB), ADM, Uttar Dinajpur, has been transferred as ADM, Paschim Medinipur.
17. Ekam J Singh (IAS:2020:WB), ADM, Paschim Medinipur, has been posted as ADM, Bankura.

Separately, Shakil Ahmed (IPS:2012:WB), who was serving as Additional DLRS in the rank of Senior Special Secretary, has been shifted as OSD in the Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department pending further posting orders.
