West Bengal transfers 14 IAS officers in two phases

The West Bengal government recently issued two separate orders transferring IAS officers across the state. The first order, dated November 26, involved the transfer of 4 IAS officers, while the second order, dated November 27, saw the transfer of 10 IAS officers.

The names of the officers and their new postings as per the 26 November order are as follows:

1. Khalil Ahmed (IAS:1995:WB), Principal Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, North Bengal Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, GTA.
2. Smaraki Mahapatra (IAS:2002:WB), Secretary, Science & Technology and Bio-Technology Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department.
3. Vijay Bharti (IAS:2005:WB), Principal Secretary, GTA, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Science & Technology and Bio-Technology Department.
4. Dr. Godala Kiran Kumar (IAS:2005:WB), Special Secretary, Consumer Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Science & Technology and Bio-Technology Department.

The names of the officers and their new postings as per the 27 November order are as follows:

1. Manoj Kumar Agarwal (IAS:1990:WB), Additional Chief Secretary, Fire and Emergency Services Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Department with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department.
2. Dushyant Nariala (IAS:1993:WB), Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, North Bengal Development Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, GTA.
3. Khalil Ahmed (IAS:1995:WB), Principal Secretary, Food Processing Industries and Horticulture Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Fire and Emergency Services Department.
4. Anindya Mitra (IAS:2012:WB), Additional Commissioner, Revenue, Commercial Taxes Directorate Head Quarter, has been transferred and posted as Special Commissioner in the rank of Special Secretary, Food & Supplies Department.
5. Goutam Kumar Ghosh (IAS:2012:WB), Special Commissioner of Revenue & Special Excise Commissioner (Revenue), Excise Directorate Head Quarter as Special Commissioner in the rank of Special Secretary, Finance Department.
6. Anshul Gupta (IAS:2013:WB), Managing Director, West Bengal Transport Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department.
7. Sana Akhtar (IAS:2014:WB), Additional District Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman, has been transferred and posted as Director, Child Rights and Trafficking.
8. Sumant Sahay (IAS:2016:WB), Youth Services & Sports Department, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary. Department of Information Technology & Electronics.
9. Tejasvi Rana (IAS:2017:WB), Additional District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social Welfare.
10. Ansar Ahamad (IAS:2016:WB), Joint Secretary, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional District Magistrate, Malda.
