West Bengal: Six IAS, One IPS officer transferred in administrative reshuffle

The West Bengal government on Wednesday (18.12.2024) implemented major changes in the state’s administrative setup, transferring six IAS officers and one IPS officer to new posts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Roshni Sen (IAS:1993:WB), Additional Chief Secretary, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour Development Department, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Environment Department.
2. Dr. Rajesh Kumar (IPS:1990:WB), Principal Secretary, Environment Department with additional charge of Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Correctional Administration Department.
3. Jagdish Prasad Meena (IAS:2004:WB), Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms with additional charges of Secretary, Correctional Administration Department and Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms with additional charges of Member Secretary, Pollution Control Board and Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division.
4. Yeluchuri Ratnakara Rao (IAS:2006:WB), Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Sources Department.
5. Shashank Sethi (IAS:2010:WB), Managing Director, West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited with additional charge of Director of Tourism, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, WBHIDCO.
6. Abhishek Kumar Tiwari (IAS:2012:WB), Special Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited with additional charge of Director of Tourism.
7. Vivek Kumar (IAS:2016:WB), Joint Secretary, Agriculture Department, has been transferred and posted as Health & Family Welfare Department.
