The West Bengal government has appointed IAS officer Shubhanjan Das (IAS:2005:WB) as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare Department in the place of Subhra Chakraborty (IAS:2007:WB). He was holding the post of State Project Director, Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha Mission (PBSSM), West Bengal.
Chakraborty has been assigned as State Project Director, PBSSM.
In the past, Das served at various key positions, including Additional Secretary, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development in the state. Earlier, the state government transferred Vivek Kumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, and brought Narayan Swaroop Nigam as his replacement.
