West Bengal : Four senior IPS officers shifted, Gyanwant Singh is now ADG CID

In a major reshuffle in its police administration, the West Bengal government on Friday appointed Gyanwant Singh as the ADG and IGP of the state CID.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Dr. Debasish Roy (IPS:1990:WB) : ADG and IGP, Training.
2. Anuj Sharma (IPS:1991:WB) : ADG and IGP, West Bengal Armed Police.
3. Gyanwant Singh (IPS:1993:WB) : ADG and IGP, CID with Additional Director, Security.
4. Ajey Mukund Ranade (IPS:1995:WB) : Advisor (Security and Vigilance) of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
